|  | Long weekend = Binky comes with to get her first taste of stoke. Small waves + scorching sun also meant... a trip to Baguio! Where we discover that ukay is no longer cheap or fun but Cafe by the Ruins still hits the spot. :)
Lots of swimming, paddling and hanging out with the groms.
Monday = take the anklebiters into the water and push them into waves. Super fun, super chill long weekend. |
What to do when you're already in La Union and the waves just aren't working for you? Drive to Baguio, find Cafe by the Ruins and eat the following:
Sticky Buns
Foccacia with Herbed Cheese
Long Life Pouches (tofu with mushroom)
Champorado with tinapa flakes
Gado Gado
Potato and Leek soup
A merienda set
Then pile back into the car and drive over to Bliss Cafe where you all proceed to eat:
Chapati with fillings
Raita yogurt with raisins and dessicated coconut
Tofu burgers
Some veggie noodle thing that looked like pancit bihon
Veggie bbq
Carrot and apple smoothies
And then you get back in the car and go to SM Baguio to
Wifi with your fiancee in Laos
Eat corn on the cob
Buy fresh fruits for Sunday smoothies
Stock up on bread, haw flakes and used coffee grounds.
If you leave at 4pm, you'll be back in LU by a bit before midnight. And the entire time you are surrounded by conversations about PETA, going veggie, Japanese porn and 60s music.
