Itching to surf as I'd been stuck shooting from the Tower for days, I gamely joined the boys for a boat trip. The first spot turned out to be a dud (especially for me, surfing low tide on the wrong board is not recommended when you're a scaredy cat) and so we moved to another break... and damn was it ever breaking that morning!
Corey, Paolo, Carlo Perez, Moro, Rey and Lui got some sick waves. Aya and I thought we could take the shoulder on the Southpoint 6'6 fishes we had. We spent all our time trying not to get sucked towards the peak. What the hell were we thinking?! All in all, an adventurous boat trip filled with many stories to tell. Classic line came from Philip "Manong, ayan na!"
